At 48 inches tall, a single marquee letter is taller than a chair and as wide as a dinner plate. Set six of them up at an LA wedding reception, birthday party, or backyard anniversary, and they stop being a rental — they become the backdrop in every single photo, every reel, every share.

Every letter A–Z, 4 feet tall

We carry the full alphabet in 4ft (48") white units. That means you can spell any word up to eight characters — the most common configurations we ship:

  • LOVE — the wedding and anniversary default, warm white looks timeless
  • MR & MRS — head-table piece, initials work just as well
  • BABY or OH BABY — baby shower, gender reveal, welcome-home
  • YES or MARRY ME — proposal setups, often paired with candles
  • GRAD, CLASS OF — graduation parties, backyard celebrations
  • Initials or a first name — birthdays, sweet 16s, quinceañeras, anniversaries

Warm or cool white — your call, any time

Every letter has a built-in toggle between two light temperatures:

  • Warm white (≈2700K) — golden, filament-like glow. Best for weddings, proposals, anniversaries, and any event where the mood is romantic or candlelit.
  • Cool white (≈6000K) — crisp, modern, almost daylight. Best for milestone birthdays, quinceañeras, corporate events, and modern LA venues with industrial or minimalist aesthetics.

You can switch mid-event. Start the ceremony in warm, flip to cool for the dance floor — same letters, different mood. It's the feature no competitor in LA offers at this size.

Battery + USB power — works anywhere

Each letter runs on three AA batteries (supplied) for 8–10 hours, or plugs into USB for unlimited runtime. That means no extension cords snaking across the dance floor, no hunting for outlets at a beach venue, no compromising the photo because of cabling.

Outdoor tip: LA proposals on Santa Monica beach, backyard baby showers in Pasadena, rooftop receptions Downtown — the battery setup was built for this. For events with rain risk, we recommend a tent; the units are splash-resistant but not submersion-proof.

Our core rate is $80 per letter for a 3-day rental (delivery Friday, pickup Monday morning for most weekend events). Package tiers:

  • Essential (4 letters) — $320. Perfect for single words like LOVE, BABY, YES, MARRY, or a 4-character name.
  • Signature (6 letters) — $480. The most popular tier. Handles MR & MRS (5), longer names, or OH BABY (6).
  • Statement (8 letters) — $640. Full-word displays, multi-line setups, graduation CLASS OF, or combining letters with a number.

How the rental process works

  1. You send us the date, venue or ZIP code, and the word or letters you want to display. takes 60 seconds.
  2. We confirm availability and send a quote — usually within 2 hours during business hours.
  3. Delivery day: we arrive 1–2 hours before your event start, set up the letters where you want them, test the light modes with you, and leave you to enjoy the party.
  4. Pickup: typically next morning. No cleanup on your end.

Rent vs. buy vs. DIY — why renting wins for a single event

A quick reality check for LA event planners weighing options:

  • Buy (new): A single 4ft commercial marquee letter costs $400–$900 new, depending on quality of LED and frame. A 6-letter word like OH BABY = $2,400–$5,400 capital outlay, plus storage, transport, battery management, and resale depreciation (≈50% loss within a year). Rarely worth it unless you're in the event-rental business yourself.
  • Buy (used/DIY): Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace have 2ft and 3ft knockoff units at $100–$250 each. The LEDs dim after 20–30 hours, the frames bend, and the rails don't align when you line up six of them. Guests notice. Photos show it.
  • DIY (cardboard + string lights): You've seen this at Pinterest baby showers. Cute for a 2-hour afternoon brunch. Not cute at a 200-guest wedding, a milestone 40th, or a proposal. Cardboard sags, string lights flicker, nothing stands 4 feet tall without engineering.
  • Rent premium (us): $320–$800 for the most photographed element of the night, delivered, set up, taken away. Same capital as a nice bouquet, 10× the photo return.

The math: if you spend $500 on wedding flowers that get thrown out at midnight, a $320–$480 marquee rental that anchors every guest's phone shot is the highest-ROI decor spend of the entire event.

LA venue guide — where 4ft letters work

Los Angeles venues fall into four categories for marquee-letter setups:

Ballrooms & hotels

Beverly Hills Hotel, Peninsula, Four Seasons, Hotel Casa del Mar, Langham Pasadena, Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey — freight elevators, loading docks, banquet managers who coordinate load-in. We deliver 2–3 hours pre-event through service entrances. Letters fit through standard freight elevators. Most common placements: sweetheart table backdrop, photo-booth corner, reception entrance arch.

Historic and heritage venues

Vibiana (former cathedral in DTLA), The Majestic Downtown, Union Station ticket concourse, Ebell of Los Angeles, Park Plaza Hotel. Load-in requires coordination with venue historians. Warm white is almost always the right LED mode — cool white clashes with the architectural palette.

Private estates

Greystone Mansion, The Houdini Estate (Laurel Canyon), Malibu West Beach Club, Pacific Palisades cliffside residences. Load-in often requires canyon-driveway navigation or cliff descents — we use dollies with brake systems. Pool-deck setups require weighted bases.

Industrial / modern DTLA lofts

Millwick, Hubble Studios, The Bloc rooftop, Ace Hotel rooftop, NoMad LA. High ceilings (15–20 ft) make our 4ft letters read proportionally better in corner placements than center-stage. Cool white suits these venues. Freight elevator booking required.

Outdoor and beach

Santa Monica Beach, Malibu (El Matador, Point Dume, Leo Carrillo), Will Rogers Beach, Venice canals, backyard estates in Brentwood and Pacific Palisades. Battery-powered letters are essential — no cords, no generator. Sand-stable base plates for beach setups. Tide timing coordinated so letters stay dry.

Pairing letters with other decor

Timeline — from first inquiry to event night

  • Week -4 (or earlier for peak Saturdays): Initial inquiry. We confirm availability, lock the date with 50% deposit.
  • Week -2: We confirm exact setup location with you or your planner.
  • Week -1: Final word/configuration locked. Balance invoice sent (due 72 hours pre-event).
  • Day -1: We text delivery ETA window (usually 2–3 hours before event start).
  • Event day: We arrive, set up (15–30 min), test both light modes with you, leave.

What size are your marquee letters?

Every letter is 4 feet (48 inches) tall — large enough to be the focal point of a wedding reception, backdrop for photos, or statement piece for a birthday or proposal.

What letters are available?

Are the letters weatherproof?

The letters are splash-resistant and safe for covered outdoor setups. For direct rain or heavy moisture we recommend a tent or covered area to protect the LED circuitry.

What's the difference between warm white and cool white?

Warm white (2700K) is golden and romantic — ideal for weddings, proposals, anniversaries. Cool white (6000K) is crisp and modern — better for birthdays, corporate events, quinceañeras. Each letter switches between the two.

How long do the batteries last?

Each letter uses 3 AA batteries and runs 8–10 hours on a single set. USB power gives unlimited runtime when an outlet is available.
